Important game to mention about took place in Juana Diaz. Eighth rankedMonarcas (2-2) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 7th ranked Caguas (1-3) 75-73 on Thursday evening. Monarcas players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. American players dominated the game. Center Imani McGee-Stafford (201-1994, college: Texas) scored 25 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Tess Amundsen (185-1999, college: CSUN) chipped in 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Amundsen is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was center Kai James (196-1995, college: FSU) with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Alisia Jenkins (186-1994, college: S.Florida) scored 12 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Four Caguas players scored in double figures. Caguas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Monarcas moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Hatillo and Moca. Caguas lost third consecutive game. Caguas at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. They share it with Leonas.
